Innhold: This course is designed to help Southern and Northern NGOs support effective Southern advocacy e.g. linking local, national, regional and international advocacy. It will cover different approaches to capacity building of Southern advocacy and showcase tools to support analysis. It will explore approaches to achieving policy change in different socio-political contexts, including those with limited civil society space. It will also reflect on the causes and solutions to some common problems such as how to integrate advocacy into programme work. There will also be space to assess advocacy strategies and consider effective methods for monitoring and evaluating advocacy. This training is provided by INTRAC.
Deltageravgift: NOK 1,800 for members of The Norwegian Development Network (NOK 1,100 for small member organisations) and NOK 2,900 for non-members. Member organisations get a 50 % discount from their third participant and onwards. Member organisations may claim a 75 % travel reimbursement for participants living outside Oslo.

11.-12.04.12 Kurs :  Child Rights Based Approach to Programming

Innhold: This course will provide participants with an understanding of how to apply a child rights based approach to the development and implementation of projects and programmes that can contribute to increasing children’s enjoyment of their rights to participation, protection, survival and development. It will cover a range of areas including how human rights concepts and principles apply in work with children, the application of a child rights based approach throughout the project cycle, and ways in which participants and their organisations can implement child rights in their own work practices.

Formål: This training course aims at raising awareness about corruption among south partners and local communities, and to give practical tools to prevent corruption in our own projects.
Innhold: The first day is based on a training course developed for Digni by Wycliffe Norway which is a tool targeted at use by partner organisations in the south. The participants will be familiarised with the contents and get advice on how to use the package. The second day will be shared between practical tools in fighting against corruption in our own projects, including how to enable whistle-blowing – and an approach to grass root mobilisation and campaigning against corruption.

Målgruppe: Dette kurset er laget for personer med liten eller ingen kunnskap og erfaring med monitorering og evalueringe (M&E).
Innhold: Kurset dekke hele syklusen fra etablering av monitoreringsplaner, via håndtering av datainnsamling og analyse, til evaluering av prosjekter og læring fra M&E. Kurset vil være deltakende med korte presentasjoner og små, praktiske gruppearbeid, som vil hjelpe deltakerne å benytte det i arbeidet. Deltakerne vil lære hvordan de skal lage en M&E-plan og presentere funn fra M&E.
Forberedelser: Oppfølging: Kurset er basert på en kursperm laget av IMA International. For de som ønsker selv å lære å holde kurs basert på permen, tilbyr vi 22. mai et dagskurs i kursledelse, og 32. mai et dagskurs som går spesifikt på bruk av denne kurspermen. Disse to kursdagene kan tas hver for seg eller samlet. Invitasjon vil bli sendt ut separat.

Bakgrunn: Indikatorer er noe av det en ofte synes er vanskelig og kanskje det mest tekniske med å planlegge et prosjekt eller program. Men samtidig er det viktig å kunne dokumentere resultater.
Innhold: Kurset fordyper seg i indikatorer som verktøy på en enkel måte. Hva er gode indikatorer, hvilke typer fins det. Hva er kildene til informasjonen som innhentes?
Forberedelser: Kurset baseres gjerne på eksempler fra deltagerne innsendt på forhånd.
